brb, mgs4

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 11, 2008, 8:46 AM
I got my copy of MGS4 already.

You might be asking:

"HOW THE FUCK CAN THAT BE POSSIBLE? IT'S NOT THE 12TH YET!!!"

Well, all I can say is...

"lol, asian timezones"

I pre-ordered my copy from this groovy store called Gamers Hideout.
By pre-ordering from them, I got MGS4, an MGS4 poster, an MGS4 T-shirt and an MGS4 bag to carry them all home. :3

As I was saying, brb mgs4.

For those who haven't seen it yet, I drew a tribute to MGS4, in a form of a comic.

Please give feedback, especially on the two characters, Sean & Shiori.
I really want to know what everyone thinks, since I might reuse them for future projects, depending on the response.

I have never bought trading figures online before, so I thought I'd give it a try.

My first time occured after I came across these Oh My Goddess - Beachside Trading Figure Collection.
The problem with these trading figures is that they are delivered at random, so if you're only interested in one figure, you'd better order more than one.

In my case, I only wanted that Skuld figure. If I got unlucky, I don't mind getting a Belldandy figure as consolation. The rest... well...

Anyway, in order to increase the odds, I ordered 3 at a time and waited about a week.

After waking up several minutes ago, I went downstairs and found the package sitting on a chest. I decided to grab it and take it into my room before my family knows that I buy swimsuit figures of female cartoon characters.

And here they are. Using a steak knife, I carefully cut through the tapes sealing the box and opened it. In it are three boxes as ordered. While I usually start from left when choosing stuff, for some reason I started from the right, from where I was facing.
Well then...

Box No. 1

I opened the first box and I got.....

... Peorth. One of the characters I didn't want....

Anyway... next...

Box No. 2

I opened and peeked into it's contents and I get....

..... another Peorth figure....... the previous one was in a black bikini while it's pink this time. Whatever....

At this rate, my luck isn't looking good and I might be getting yet another Peorth figure or one of the living fossil adult characters that I don't want.

Finally....

Box No. 3

I braced myself for the worst outcome when I opened the box. It's probably going to be an Urd, Lind or another Peorth... but wait.....

It's Skuld.....

I got the Skuld figure!!!!

I swear that I can hear a voice in my head saying:

"CONGRATULATIONS!!!! THANK YOU FOR PLAYING!!"

This figure is quite nice. The only parts to be assembled are the base, body and head. They fit together nicely and there're no small parts that will come off easily if you handled it the wrong way, unlike a gashapon (capsule figure).
After putting them together, Skuld stands at 10.8cm on my table (base included). She looks cute with her hair tied up in pigtails, with a pouting expression.

Anyway, that about wraps it up.
I got what I wanted, so it's finished.

As for the two Peorth figures, although the boxes have been opened, the content themselves are still sealed and unpacked. If I ever plan to sell these, I'm not going to lower the price due to the opened boxes. At least potential buyers will know the contents this time.

For those who are interested in buying these figures from me, you can contact me. It may be more difficult for those living far away, though.

A 100ml bottle of PerspireX costs RM55.

So a 25ml bottle of PerspireX (1/4 of the 100ml bottle) should cost a lot less, right?

Wrong. For some fucking reason, the 25ml bottle also costs RM55. And guess what? They stopped selling the 100ml bottle (they won't continue stocking it) and will only sell the smaller, yet expensive bottle.

To make matters worst, all other pharmacies are following Guardian's example by not stocking the larger bottle. For your information, the smaller bottle is a roll-on and meant for armpits while it's clearly mentioned on the larger bottle that it's meant for hands & feet. Guardian tries to advertise the roll-on as "suitable for armpits, as well as hands and feet". I don't see anything about this in PerspireX's official website.

Maybe they're the same thing or the roll-on is better?
As a user of both types of PerspireX, I can tell you that they're not the same. The hands & feet lotion will eventually dry (provided that your hands doesn't sweat after applying) while the roll-on one will not. It stays slimy & sticky and will easily come off when your hands rub against your sheets and pillows while you sleep. It's probably that way since it was meant for armpits. I just learned the hard way that the roll-on isn't effective on my hands. The dried parts of my hands reverted back to being wet today. Now I'll have to take another few days to get them dry again, using what's left of my hands & feet lotion.

I feel like paying those bastards a visit to give them a piece of my mind.

My Drawing Days Have Come To An End?

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 17, 2007, 5:05 AM
As some of you know, I'm suffering from Hyperhidrosis. People sweat to cool themselves off but my hands sweats because it wants to sweat. Regardless of the temperature or my current state of mind, my hand will be all wet and glossy, making it hard for me to draw without soaking the paper. It's also difficult to hold the pen or pencil with such a slippery hand. I'd grip the pencil so tightly, that the pencil starts digging into the joints of my fingers.
This problem cuts my drawing time in half. I can only draw at night when the sweating slows down. Sometimes, I can't draw en entire day or even a week due to this problem.

I was able to control the problem when I discovered PerspireX by chance in a pharmacy I go to. This is what helps me being able to draw properly.

Just now, I wanted to get a new bottle and the bastards told me that they have stopped supplying it altogether. When I told the pharmacist that I really needed it for my hyperhidrosis, she tells me that "there is no medication for it, only surgery". This pisses me off a lot.

I remember going to a clinic for it and the doctor there told me "sorry, I have nothing for your current condition" and I have to walk away empty-handed.

I went to a fucking hospital and the quack told me "SURGERY! RM20,000!", without offering any other alternatives or treatment.
For some reason, surgery is the first thing they will suggest. Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy is not without harmful side-effects and there's even a reported death due to the procedure. It should only be considered as a last resort.
The fact that Sweden, the very country the procedure was invented in, has banned ETS shows just how risky it is.

I could find all sorts of medication and treatments online, like Drysol, Anti-hydral, Drionic, Idromed-4, etc. and none of them are available here.

Unless I can find something to stop the sweating, I will probably have to stop drawing forever.
